The Massachusett’s accounting firm of Alexander, Aronson, Finning & Co., P.C., one of the state’s 10 largest, has opened its newest office on the 23rd floor of 160 Federal Street in Boston. The firm, also known as AAF, is adding the Boston location to its existing array of regional offices, which are situated in Cambridge, Wellesley, Westborough and Worcester.
“The new office aligns perfectly with our ongoing growth plans and is an integral part of our overall strategy,” says Jeffrey V. Cicolini, CPA, Vice President and Shareholder at AAF, who will manage the Boston office.
“We have experienced tremendous success over the 40 years since our founding, and we see potential for continued growth in Boston,” he adds, noting that “the new office allows us to promote the AAF brand and provide Boston with the high level of client support for which we are well-known.”
AAF also expects to hire significantly in the year ahead, building on a successful 2012. The firm recently expanded its wealth management practice, known as Highsight LLC, and added an experienced trusts and estates lawyer, a technology partner specializing in IT audits and risk assessments, as well as a tax partner with expertise in international taxes, mergers and acquisitions, and the technology industry.
In a recent message, Carla M. McCall, CPA, Co-president and David P. McManus, CPA, Co-president, also proclaimed the firm’s intention to continue growing organically from within by attracting and retaining the best talent to serve both the business and non-profit community, pointing to the fact that the firm was voted a “best place to work” by both the Boston Globe and the Boston Business Journal for the last four years, being the only accounting firm rated as such by the Globe last year.
“Our people are also the reason that the Boston Business Journal has repeatedly included AAF in its ‘Circle of Excellence,’ and they are the reason that 97 percent of our clients said they would ‘strongly recommend’ AAF to a friend or acquaintance,” says McCall, adding that the firm expects to continue expanding within the New England area.
She says the firm plans to continue building on its success in serving many industries, particularly clients in the high-tech, biotech, healthcare, education, real estate, manufacturing and distribution sectors, as well as many non-profit organizations.
